Beauty Obsessed

So, a few days ago, I got a request from an MUA‘er to swap. When I looked at their profile to see what they had to offer, I noticed their picture (which was of their polished nails) looked very much like the hand of one of the bloggers on Polish or Perish, a blog I follow avidly. Then, I noticed their tag line was, indeed, Polish or Perish! I can’t even relay how excited I got – it was like meeting a celebrity or something lol. You know how it is: you read people’s blogs and you start to feel like you know them and know their lives a little bit. So it was really exciting for me to have direct communication with someone who is essentially a stranger yet still has ties to me in some small way.  This is one of the biggest reasons I blog.  It truly makes my day when I can bond even just a little bit with a fellow cosmetic enthusiast.  Everyone I’ve ever come across has been lovely and inspiring in some way.  It honestly makes me giddy when I have a comment on a post, or have a dialogue on someone else’s post, or communicate with someone on MUA on the boards or during a swap.  It’s like anything in which you share a common ground with someone – you can’t help but feel connected in a very basic way.  So I just wanted to say thanks to anyone and everyone who’s out there enjoying makeup and nail polish and skincare and making connections with others who enjoy these very same things.  You brighten my day, without fail
