Meh. That’s all I have to say about this polish. See for yourself:

Cuticles are ragged, I know. I can conceal their sorry state some of the time, but I am so bored with this polish I couldn’t even be bothered. I feel like I should put this one up for swap, but because it’s a Lippmann I’m hesitant to. There isn’t anything wrong with it at all (aside from the snooze color) – it applies easily and beautifully in two thin coats, wears well, blah blah blah. But ohhhhh so dull to me. Gold just isn’t my thing I guess! I thought this one was different because of the gold and silver flecks – which actually are captured in the photo, to my delight – but really, I still am not a fan.
What are your thoughts? Am I being to hard on the shade??
Happy Hump Day!

Try it as a pedi shade come the Summertime, and then see if you still feel the same way! I know that several times I was tempted to give up on certain shades, then lo & behold! they end up looking fabulous on the toes! Go figure!

Now that you ladies mention it, I think I DID do a pedi with this shade a while back and liked it. I’ll have to give it another go before I disregard it altogether. I just like colors that go POW! (although you’re right Liz, after wearing a lot of brights etc., neutrals pale in comparison).

Eugenia’s advice is very wise. I also have a few “meh” polishes that I think will work very well on toes. Or how about wearing it with an all white outfit? I think the gold will stand out beautifully then. Sometimes I find that after playing with brights and glitter, some neutrals tend to look quite boring in comparison. But then events like weddings will come up when you’ll be reaching for a nice, stately shade that isn’t too over the top.
I LOVE the name Nerfertiti, though… maybe the greatness of the name set up a false expectation?

I agree with both comments here. I would love a colour like that on my toes but never on my hands.
