Quickie Sunday Post: a-England’s King Arthur

I am dead tired today; we had a beer pong tournament last night (like ping pong but with cups and beer hehe) and it got pretty intense – it went until well after 2am!  Amazingly, my partner and I won – so we each got to take home $90!  Sa-weet!!  I never win anything, especially anything competitive, so this is a pretty big deal :)  I was going to put the money toward my Jamaica trip, but I’m thinking I might spoil myself with a little Spring treat…we shall see.

Anyway, due to my zombie-like state, this is just a quick post showcasing another beautiful a-England polish, King Arthur.  This is a gunmetal metallic gray shade, that is a bit too cool for my skintone, but gorgeous nonetheless.  It has absolutely NO brushstrokes, that can be common with metallic polishes, but goes on smooth and evenly.  Great formula with the perfect thickness, and two thin coats are all that’s needed to achieve full opacity.I’m insanely excited for the new a-England ‘The Legend’ collection to come out – I pre-ordered a few shades with Adina (who is hands-down one of the most lovely persons I have ever encountered – everything awesome you hear about her is 100% true!) and I am so, so looking forward to their arrival.  I am dead serious when I say that I got teary when I got a glimpse of the collection on Eugenia’s blog – my boyfriend can attest to that (and also now thinks I am CRAZY).  It’s that amazing.

Have you tried any of a-England’s polishes yet?

Hey Beer Pong winner…thanks for the shout-out! At least you got some winnings out of the evening – makes up for all you had to do to get to that point, eh?! Lol!! King Arthur is a killer – and I mean that in the very best of ways! I am a total nut for grey/silver (tied with anything teal) and this is hands down the best polish of that colour group that I’ve ever worn. PS: I think it looks great on you, and I’m glad you’re giving it some love! You’re also 100% right about Adina…I love that lady!

You’re very welcome, my dear Eugenia! Your post brought me out of my polish doldrums in a hurry :) I really love the look of silver/grey on others but I just don’t love it on me (exception is Essie’s Power Clutch…still LOVE that one :), so I guess I already had a bias. I picked it up because I figured if any shades like that will work, it’s gonna be from Adina’s collection – and it’s not bad, just not LOVE (on me). It’s definitely the best silver-ish shade I’ve ever seen in action though, perfect formula.

Arthur looks great on you! I should pull mine out and wear it again soon. I remember being so wowed by a-england’s formula — it’s the best nail polish I’ve ever tried. EVER.

And congrats on winning the beer pong tourney, LOL! You do me proud, Toya. ;)

LOL Thanks Liz!! It was so much fun, the $$ won was just an awesome extra! I ended up being semi-responsible and buying a new pair of jeans (desperately needed – more than MORE cosmetics!) with the winnings :)

As for the King, I imagine this shade looks especially stunning on you with your skintone. Break that baby out, girl!

...And what do you have to say about all this?? Dish! :)
