Goodness, I imagine that WAS hard – but good on you! Wow…I don’t think I’m that strong, sadly lol. But it certainly does make you sit and actually take the time to enjoy what you have, rather than be hunting for the next big thing. I have so many pretty items that I do love, but that don’t GET enough love from me, so I hope this system will change that. You got it right, I think when we DO purchase, we’ll choose items we absolutely love instead of just ‘stuff,’ which bogs us and our collections down. I’m definitely looking forward to this endeavor – though its still pretty scary!!

I completely agree that we’re going to be very choosy about our products moving forward, which is exactly what I want. I don’t want to waste a purchase on any fillers, but only pick up items that enhance our stash, not burden it. I felt similarly to you Liz after the announcements had been made – I was out and about Saturday morning and was like “CRAP!!! I can’t buy anything!” lol…but the more I thought about it, the more excited I got. I think this is going to be an awesome challenge and will alleviate a lot of buyers stress while simultaneously allowing us to pick up some pretty kickass items!!! We totally got this :D

Those were hard times but it did help me appreciate some of the products I already had. I like that about the ban, I think we'll all be able to enjoy our makeup collections better and when we purchase new items, we choose more wisely and start collecting things that will NEVER make us unhappy and bored ;)

I love that you and I are in it for the long haul. I think if I were the only one dragging along a reduced buy/ban for the remainder of 2012, it would be much more difficult. Not that I want you to suffer but it’s nice to have you with me beyond June! :) I think this whole thing means that we are going to start picking only the best products and each new review will be even more exciting. I’m actually really glad that we’re all doing this now. This morning I started to have the “OMG What did I do?” feeling but it’s all gone now!
