I’ve been working on creating a list of all the beauty products I own for your viewing pleasure! It’s still in progress – just the nail polish and makeup lists are up – but I’ll be adding all my skincare items etc., and then eventually having each item link back to the review/swatch post (if there is one), for reference purposes. I created the list for various reasons, but the main one is that it will help me be accountable for my stash – hopefully over time you’ll see items being crossed off and the list dwindling somewhat, rather than expanding exponentially. It also will allow you to see at a glance what products I love (they will be in green print). I hope you enjoy!! If there are any questions about products – further descriptions, swatches, or other info, feel free to drop me a line and ask! I’d love to be of help

Over the Christmas holiday period, my daughter decided that she wanted to help me catalog all my nail polishes (still not done!); that led to me wanting to create a catalog/lists of everything else in my beauty drawers and while I don’t have the time to devote to that task right now, your post has given me great incentive to get it going –soon! In my case, it’s not to be able to eliminate the pile, but to know what it is exactly I own so I don’t end up duplicating items. I’ve been accumulating beauty products for several years now, so getting everything in order may just be too much for me to handle….sure hope not, cause I desperately need it! Maybe I should hire you! Thanks for the little push…I needed it!

Your daughter sounds like my kinda gal! I love making inventories of things (obviously!). It is definitely a huge task – especially for someone with such a great collection of products like you have (for me, it only took two days lol). It’s kind of fun to know what you own and have it in writing though – I think you’re right too, it’ll help avoid any duplicates in the future. And hey, if you want to hire me, I come cheap – just a visit and a nice meal a la Eugenia ought to do it

You’re so darn organized! I thought of setting up a page and linking to reviews of each product once a post goes up and having a central archive to every product, but it’s just way too much work to fathom! Keeping track of labels/tags is already a big hassle. I may do the same eventually… but I’ll have to quit school to do it, lol.
Also, little touches like that are things that make each blog unique. I like it.

LOL It’s gross, isn’t it? I can’t help myself, I love to make lists of things – this blog has enabled me in that way more than is probably healthy haha. It took some time, but wasn’t too bad for me – I’m realizing more and more that my stash is paltry compared to most, its almost a little humiliating to go on about having so much stuff when I seem to be on the low-end of the scale (I’m failing as a beauty addict! Wahhh!). It’s funny you mention little touches, because I actually was noticing the new pages you’ve added and updated on your blog, and that was what made me think to do the inventory – once again, you set the bar high, Liz!!

Aw, thanks MM! I tend to lose interest in things pretty quickly normally, but when it comes to organization I seem to have a better ability to stay focused lol. Also, my list isn’t really that long – what’s there now is pretty much it!! It was a fun task regardless, keeps me accountable!

Btw, we can now talk Vampire Diaries together! Read the books as an adolescent and been watching the series since it started. Team Damon, right? (Though Somerhalder overdoes it with the eye-rolly thing.)

YAY!!! It’s so good, I don’t have a ‘team’ yet because I’m just on the very last episode of the first season and it’s just alluding to the fact that Damon is even a player in the game – but I suspect I will be all over him once I get fully up to speed, he’s just my kinda guy
We’ll definitely have to chat, I don’t even know what night it’s on during the regular season…??

Thursdays! I never watch TV but catch up online the next day. It’s heaven to tuck myself into bed and watch TVD at the end of a long week after a great dinner and a drink in hand.

vaseline!! i use it for my lips, cuticles! it’s awesome! i love how Target sells the travel size so it makes it so much easier carrying it around

Hehe, yea, while I don’t love products that contain petroleum or mineral oils, straight up vaseline does have it’s uses! I put it on my lips every night at bedtime – it’s a tried and true system
