Good evening!!  Just here watching ‘Home Alone’ – my fave Christmas movie of all time – and searching for lip products which will give me a perfect pale nude-pink lip look I’ve been ogling on celebs like Keri Hilson and Eva Mendes lately (yes, I’m multi-tasking yet again!).  Earlier in the day my mother and I stopped at Chatters, a salon chain that also has a huge range of salon hair products, as well as a large selection of OPI, China Glaze and Chi nail polishes.  I picked up an OPI Designer Series shade called Extravagance, a beautifully rich, somewhat holographic magenta shade.  I have another DS polish called Coronation, which is a medium holographic silver polish – but once I swapped for GOSH’s Holographic, Coronation just seemed so lackluster in comparison.  I am warring with myself on purchasing Tease-y Does It from the Burlesque collection, but it looks similar enough to Zoya Valerie that I just can’t justify it (yet).   In any case, this polish now brings my total shades up to 37….which I feel is almost embarrassingly small considering many polish mavens have collections upwards of 500!  I am conflicted on this point too – part of me would love to have enough polishes to fill a much-touted helmer, but the other part of me gets anxious at the mere thought of having such ridiculous excess.  And I just don’t know if I will ever be able to justify buying polishes that are ‘close but not dupes’ – overly-logical brain at work again!  Let see how I fare in the coming year – maybe next year I’ll be singing a different tune

My polish stash

I’m wearing an H&M polish right now called ‘French Smoke’ (will upload photo in natural light tomorrow) – see photos below.  It’s a warm-toned silver; I’m usually not much for silvers as they look garish on my coloring, but this one is somehow a sort of creamy metallic which I like.  Not a fave but it’s going to look fab when I layer CG’s Party Hearty over it later in the week What nail polish are you rocking today?  How large are your polish stashes?   (Please don’t make me feel too inferior lol)  Do you think its reasonable to have hundreds of shades?  Afterall, I guess if you are a polish ‘collector’ then that makes sense, right?
